Diana
K. Overberger, O.D.
Diana K. Overberger, O.D. received
her Bachelor of Science from Ohio University
in June 1997, and her Doctorate of Optometry from The
Ohio State University College of Optometry in June 2001.
She is a member of the American, Ohio, and Cleveland
Optometric Associations, and is pursuing membership
in the prestigious American Academy of Optometry. Dr.
Overberger has recently been appointed as the Chair
of the Membership and Mentoring Committee for the Cleveland
Optometric Association. Originally from Indian Lake,
Ohio (near Dayton), Dr. Overberger now resides in Bay
Village with her husband Erik, a patent attorney at
Fay, Sharpe, Fagan, Minnich, and McKee, LLP in Cleveland.
While at
The Ohio State University, Dr. Overberger was
elected President of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor
Fraternity and served as a Council Class Representative.
She was also a Charter Member of the Lion's Club of
OSU and a volunteer at the Special Olympics, performing
vision screenings for the athletes.
During her
externship at the Brecksville VA, she gained
experience in diagnosing and managing a variety of ocular
diseases. Her externship at The Laser Eye Center has
also given her extensive training in refractive surgery
co-management. Prior to these externships, Dr. Overberger
interned in several optometric practices.
In addition
to her interest in family vision care and contact
lenses, Dr. Overberger has a special concentration in
pediatric vision needs, visual and perceptual evaluation,
and vision therapy for both children and adults.
