About Dr. Simon
Dr. Jessica Simon is a 2003 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. A cum laude graduate, she was also a member of multiple optometric honor societies, including Gold Key International and Beta Sigma Kappa. After receiving her degree, Dr Simon completed a primary care and ocular disease residency in the Department of Optometry at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Her clinical career then progressed from working with an ophthalmology group practice to working in private optometric offices. In addition, Dr Simon was a Clinical Assistant Professor at The OSU College of Optometry, where her focus was on teaching clinical skills for a successful and efficient practice to the students. In late 2007, she became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Active in the optometric community, Dr. Simon has provided examinations for the unemployed and underinsured at free clinics and for children who have failed school vision screenings and are unable to obtain examinations through other means. She has also served as a leader in the Ohio Optometric Association, helping to organize various functions for local optometrists.
In her free time, Dr Simon enjoys being at home with her husband, one-year-old daughter and dog, hiking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, pilates, reading, traveling, going out for dinner and having a nice glass of wine.
